Gucci 100 ChenDu Daci Temple

Located beside Chengdu’s historic Daci Temple, the Gucci 100 pop-up pavilion reimagines the classic luxury gift box at architectural scale. A luminous olive-green envelope, edged with concealed 5 000 K wall-wash strips, floats above a shadow-gap plinth, its matte-black frieze laser-cut with the Gucci 100 logo and a roll-call of fashion capitals. A giant roof logo doubles as a nighttime beacon. Inside, a precise 15 × 15 m plan centres on an oval lacquer display table, flanked by four curated furniture islands and framed by arched niches that recall Florentine arcades. Heritage-green fitting rooms anchor each corner, while brass garment racks, neon track-mounted clocks and ultra-gloss white composite panels create a dialogue between past and present. Raised steel-bruss beams, plywood substrates and UV-printed weather-resistant graphics ensure rapid assembly and disassembly without compromising finish quality. The result is a temporary temple to Gucci’s centenary—minimalist outside, richly detailed within—inviting Chengdu’s fashion lovers to step into a collectible moment.
